According to statistics, 11,637,381.65 litres of arrack, 1,644,881.91 litres of foreign liquor, 309,814.15 litres of toddy and 16,878,729,51 litres of beer have been sold in the district.

44 liquor permits

Until Nov. 01, 2015, 44 liquor permits have been issued this year. The figure includes permits to 33 tourist hotels and 07 restaurants, reports say.

The figure of issued liquor permits currently stand at 3,445.

It is said that the alcohol tax revenue so far this year is Rs. 11,600 million.
