The attorney general will file charges against them in the special high court established to expedite cases against Tamil detainees.

Condemning this, Fr. Satyavel of the movement to free political prisoners says prisoners who expected freedom had been deceived by this move.

Meanwhile, the health of two Tamil prisoners staging a fast at Magazine Prison for 10 days has deteriorated, said Fr. Satyavel.

They are protesting against the filing of two separate cases against them on a single statement recorded by police.

Fr. Satyavel alleges responsible authorities nor Tamil politicians have paid any attention to these fasting prisoners.
