India has extended its support in order to find money and other assets in foreign countries that have been amassed by the family and relatives of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and officials close to them, say government sources.
Several senior officials and lawyers are presently in India to obtain advice and to inquire into business deals the Rajapaksas have had in India.
The officials making the visit include FCID chief, DIG Ravi Vaidyalankara and head of the CID senior DIG Ravi Seneviratne, the sources say.
