The government did not give a favourable response to calls for a reversal of the curtailment of the state sector pension and the inclusion of the Rs. 10,000 allowance to the basic salary, he said.
During the course of the discussions with the PM and several ministers, it was evident that they were resorting to delaying tactics by way of appointing committees, instead of providing clear decisions, said Ratnapriya.
The JVP-led national trade unions centre did not take part in the meeting with the PM.
