United National Party (UNP) parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra has expressed her disappointment towards the absence of female members of parliament during the Committee Stage debate of the Budget.
Reportedly the female members of joint opposition Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Geetha Kumarasinghe and Sriyani Wijewickrama were absent at the particular moment.
Ruling party member Minister Thalatha Athukorala who has attended the parliament in the morning has left without participating in the debate.
