Divi Neguma funds will not transfer to NSB - SB Featured

Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare S.B Dissanayake has stated that he is not in favour of transferring the Divi Neguma funds to National Savings Bank (NSB) and that he will not issue money for it.

He made these comments in response to a question raised by MP Mahindananda Aluthagamge at the parliament today (02).

Aluthgamage questioned if Minister Dissanayake is in agreement with the suggestion to transfer the money of Divi Neguma Development Fund to NSB.

Minister SB Dissanayake had stated that steps will be taken to rename the Divi Neguma Department as the Samurdhi Department.
