The married woman from Maradana has had an affair with a Sri Lankn youth employed in Saudi Arabia, and made a confession before the court, foreign media reports say.

The man was given 100 lashes.

Foreign employment minister Thalatha Athukorale has requested Saudi government for leniency on behalf of the sentenced woman.
