Minister Ratnayake is already functioning as the minister of Southern Development while minister Swaminathan is already functioning as the minister of Rehabilitation & Resettlement.
The duo were appointed as law and order minister and prisons reforms minister respectively after the portfolios fell vacated by Thilak Marapana's recent resignation.
