Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', Dunesh said he was stripped completely before being physically assaulted with hoses and sand filled PVC pipes and photographed.

Meanwhile, police media spokesman - SP Ruwan Gunesekara has completely refuted these claims.

The police media spokesman had added that Dunesh had not stated before the magistrate that he was assaulted.

However, attempts to contact SP Gunesekara for more details were unsuccessful.
