The Court of Appeal today (19) paved way to add the names of the Army Commander and the Army intelligence chief as respondents of a petition filed over the disappearance of Prageeth Ekneligoda.

The court ordered them to appear before courts on October 30.

The petition, filed by Mrs. Ekneligoda urged to produce Ekneligoda before a court if he is being detained.

Earlier it was reported that the CID had decided to obtain a statement from former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa in connection with the abduction and forced disappearance of Ekneligoda.
