Complainant abducted, Arundika suspected Featured

An individual who had intended to lodge a complaint against the Minister of Sports, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Secretary, Nishantha Ranatunga this morning (Nov 18), has been abducted by an unidentified group, reports say.

He was detained for a while before being released, reports say.

Due to this incident, the complaint has not been lodged today, reports add.

A large number of local and foreign journalists has gathered in front of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in order to report the filing of the case, reports add.

The individual who was allegedly abducted has been at CCC sports club last night (Nov 17) and has left the location with MP Arundika Fernando.

It is also rumoured that the abducted individual is a relative of Attorney General Mohan de Silva.
