Nadaraja Raviraj was murdered in Narahenpita, Colombo on November 2006.
It is said that this Colonel had lent the murder weapon of the Raviraj case to former East Chief minister - Pillayan.
Back then, the particular Colonel was tasked with a host of special responsibilities in the Eastern Province.
Over an order passed by the security council, this Colonel had lent this firearm to Pillayan, who in return had handed it over to a one 'Charan' and the Navy personnel - Priyantha, who had shot Ravi Raj, reports say.
After the murder, Priyantha was taken to a safehouse by a one PC named Manamperi.
At the present, both Priyantha and Manamperi are remanded after being arrested by the CID.
Also, police have learnt all details pertaining to the individual who had driven the assailant in a trishaw before the murder and about the individual who had driven the assailant in a motorbike after the murder.
