Former Independent Television Network Chairman Rosmand Senaratne was dismissed without further notice from his post on 30th of September 2014. Later Anura Siriwardenev was appointed for this post.

It is reported that the questioning will be done on the particular matter and on causing Rs 115 million losses to the channel by telecasting many advertisements during the last presidential election.
