The FCID has received a complaint that Dela Bandara had illegally sold off plots of land in Gampola and Peradeniya, which belonged to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in accordance to ancient customs.

Dela Bandara has already given a statement to the FCID with regard to this financial fraud.

Speaking, the police spokesman has said that the report had been handed over to the Attorney General for legal advice as the probe had concluded.

He added that the FCID has managed to expose that those who bought the plots from Dela Bandara had further divided the land before re-selling them to other parties.
