JHU inquire opinion of party members Featured

Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) has summoned its leading activists to Colombo yesterday (Nov 15) and held a secret voting as to whether the party should continue to be part of the government or not.
The response of over 90% of the participants had been that they should quit the government.
Accordingly, after the presidential election is announced the JHU will definitely quit the government, said the Chairman of the party and convener of 'Pivithuru Hetak' movement Ven. Athuraliye Rathna Thero.
The Thero further stated that the day when the opinion of JHU and 'Pivithuru Hetak' movement come together is not far.
If the government is not standing on behalf of the public there is no need to protect it, the Thero added.
'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that JHU is to quit the government on 18 November.
