The decision has been taken in order to attract more foreign investors to the country.

 

During a speech to the diplomatic corps based in Colombo, foreign affairs minister Mangala Samaraweera said a few days ago, “I am also keen to undertake the task of restructuring the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that this institution will be oriented more towards economic diplomacy and closer engagement with all of you.”
