Gunatilleka added : As citizens and those involved in politics, though it was long hoped that abolishing executive presidency, a more just electoral system and empowering commissions would take place, they are yet to happen.
Though many have requested the President to take the relevant decision, such a thing is yet to happen, Gunatilleka says adding that there is a few days remaining if such a decision is to be taken. However, if nothing happens, I will take a decision, he adds.
