The others are officers of the Rakna Lanka security service major generals Palitha Fernando, K.B. Egodawela and M.R.W. Soyza, former minister Rohitha Bogollagama, ex-MP Duminda Silva, western province minister Upali Kodikara, Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia mayor Dhanasiri Amaratunga and Janaka Ratnayake.

Secretary of the commission Lasil de Silva said investigations have concluded, and hearings against the accused would commence today.

Gotabhaya stands accused of having misused state money, used 550 Rakna Lnaka officers at the presidential election campaigning and deployed armed forces personnel to cover their duties, supplied military’s weapons to Avant Garde without levying a fee and appointed officers to Rakna Lanka unlawfully.
