Former Leader of the Opposition and Badulla District UPFA MP Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that the new Speaker has a responsibility to introduce electoral reform within one year.
Congratulating the newly elected Speaker Karu Jayasuriya following taking oaths as a new MP, de Silva said that the new system should ensure a Member of Parliament to all electorates.
He also said that the dignity and integrity of Parliament should be restored.
