The Colombo District Court had dismissed the case after Mr. Seneviratne decided to withdraw the case.

The case was filed challenging his expulsion from the UNP.

The former minister had said he was expelled from UNP in 2010 after he extended his support to former president Mahinda Rajapaksa in order to pass the 18th Amendment to the constitution in Parliament.
