Prof. Vishwa Warnapala, Premajayantha’s replacement, has not sent a new list following his appointment as the UPFA acting general secretary.

Colombo district court judge Harsha Sethunga has issued an interim order, effective until August 28 against Premajayantha, allowing Warnapala to carryout duties of his position without any let or hindrance.

When contacted, elections commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya told Sri Lanka Mirror that he has not received the order in question.

Participating in Hiru TV’s ‘Rata Saha Heta’ programme last night, he said he would announce his decision at the appropriate time with regard to the new appointments to the secretary general positions of the UPFA and the SLFP.
