Although hcampaigning closed at midnight on that day, weekend papers, with advertisements of the general election candidate, were still being sold yesterday.

Meanwhile, Dilan Perera has complained to the elections commissioner and expressed his objections to a UNP advertisement on ‘Lankadeepa’, containing the picture of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Perera told Sri Lanka Mirror that election officials have promised him to remove the newspaper from the market.
