Sathosa gets 'Duty Free' short eats Featured

Snacks for the opening of the Sathosa Kilinochchi Branch have been obtained from a Duty Free shop at a staggering cost of Rs. 850,000, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns.

The bill, issued by Project Prospect (Pvt.) Ltd of No. 8/1, Rheinland Place, Col.03 is shown below.

It is said that the individual behind this scam is non other than wealthy contractor V. Rajan, owner of Liverpool Navigation.

According to the bill, 2000 units of food and beverages have been purchased at a price of Rs. 425 each.

The Director Board which had convened on August 08 had approved the payment of the bill and it is said that Sathosa Chairman Kiran Atapattu had been hospitalised while this is done.

However, only 500 had attended the opening of the Sathosa Kilinochchi Branch and they have only been given a bun, a Masala Wade, an Ulundu Wade and a milk packet as refreshments.
