A video has been posted on the internet, showing UPFA Matara district candidate Manusha Nanayakkara appealing for another vehicle to take to hospital a motorcyclist who had been run-over by his cab.

Online viewers have denounced the conduct of Nanayakkara, who claims himself to be 'The Destiny's Man.’

The motorcyclist, 76-year-old Ranepura Hewage Gunaratne, has succumbed to his injuries.

The incident occurred around 3.30 pm yesterday (09) at the 10th mile post at Habaraduwa on Galle-Imaduwa road.

The motorcyclist, trying to evade a truck, had been run-over by Manusha’s cab.

His body has been taken to Karapitya Hospital for examinations, while Imaduwa and Ahangama police are investigating.
