Thajudeen’s body to be exhumed on Aug. 10 Featured

The body of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, who was murdered in 2012, is to be exhumed on August 10, says police headquarters sources.

His grave at a mosque cemetery down mosque road Kalubowila, Dehiwala, is under police protection.

Present at the exhumation will be Colombo CJMO Ajith Tennakoon, Dr. H.D.N. Hewage and forensic medicine lecturer at Colombo University Jeeva Perera.

Thajudeen’s body was found from a burnt down car at Park Road in Narahenpita.

The CID has informed the courts that his death was not accidental.
