According to the incident which was reported from the Colpetty police, Mr. Padmakumara had entered the main office of the Swarnawahini TV station after mentioning the name of a Director of the channel.

The incident had occurred 03 weeks before and was subsequently reported to the Colpetty police by the company's Human Resources Division.

Soon after the police had summoned Mr. Padmakumara to investigate into the matter, he had returned the awards to the Swarnawahini TV station.

Awards given to a particular TV programme belongs, not to the show host but to the TV station which had telecast the programme.
