Army Sampath dies following Bloemendhal shooting
Bulathsinhalage Niroshan Sampath, also known as Army Sampath died early this morning while receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Colombo for the injuries he sustained during the Bloemendhal shooting last Friday.
According to the Police Media Unit, Army Sampath had died around 3:50 am while being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.
Another woman died and 13 others were left injured following the shooting which took place during an election campaign at the Bloemendhal Street, Colombo.
Sri Lanka Mirror first revealed that there is a connection of underworld to the incident.
