This suspicion is due to the company not taking too much note of the major transactions having taken place in the accounts of actress Udayanthi Nirupika Kulathunga and her sister Chamila Krishanthi Nilmini Kulathunga, who have had links with Wele Suda.

The CID has uncovered that Udayanthi had transferred ownership of a fixed deposit for Rs. 10 million at Orix Leasing to her sister.

The Colombo high court has frozen their accounts after the financial intelligence unit reported the matter.

On July 27, the CID informed the Colombo magistrate’s court that telephone calls taken by Wele Suda have revealed his connections with the actress.
