He is condemning minister M.K.D.S. Gunawardena’s remarks at a Kantale election meeting, in which he hinted the BBS had attacks Muslims.

 

Withanage, representing Bodu Jana Peramuna, challenged the minister to come for a public debate over the issue.

 

It is both disgusting and pitiful that a minister is uttering such falsehoods to beg for Muslims votes, he says.

 

The BJP is ready to put a stop to such politics without a backbone to renounce Islamic terrorism, he says, challenging the minister to, if he is brave enough, to say that he will save the country, nation and Buddhism from ISIS Islamic terrorism, which is more barbaric and cruel than LTTE terrorism.

 

Withanage is the chairman of BJP, which is contesting the general election.
