Former minister Prof. G.L. Peiris says he will challenge before courts the Supreme Court injunction against the release of the COPE report into the Central Bank bond issue.

He was speaking at a function in Colombo, organized by the Voice of Intellectuals and Professionals.

He said the COPE report would be submitted to courts to enable it to be treated as a public document.

Considering a petition filed by deputy minister Sujeewa Senasinghe, the SC has issued an injunction, preventing the issuance of the COPE report into the bond issue.
