Thalangama police arrested her, produced her before courts and was remanded until July 28.
The husband arrived at Thalangama police bringing within him the documents and the helmet seized by the woman from the policemen.
Police arrested him too, on the charge of allowing her to drive a car in such a mental condition, produced before courts and was released on bail.
The woman has been identified as Chamila Gayani Amarasinghe, a 38-year-old mother of two girls.
She owns a house in Kaduwela but lives at Kassapa Road, Colombo 05.
At the time of the incident, she had been taking her elder daughter home from a tuition class in Malabe.
The husband and the younger daughter too, had been in the car.
She had been breastfeeding the younger daughter aged 2 ½ months, and driving the car, when she was nabbed by police.
Having a very bad temper by nature, she got into an argument with the two policemen, while the husband did not get involved.
