Earlier today, SLFP Gen. Secretary - Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said that a SLFP CC meeting will be held later tonight.
Colombo District Court Judge, Harsha Setunga, issued the above order taking into consideration a request made by Prasanna Solangarachchi.
Attorneys appearing on behalf of Solangarachchi argued in court that according to the party constitution, the General Secretary of the party has no right to convene a Central Working Committee meeting of the SLFP without the approval of the party leader.
Attorneys Iresh Seneviratne and Thishya Weragoda appeared on behalf of Prasanna Solangarachchi, on the instructions of Attorney-at-Law, Lanka Dharmasiri.
