Lanka Sathosa Chairman Kiran Atapattu has come under the criticism of Sathosa workers for not taking legal action against an iron 'theft' that had nearly happened right under his nose, reports say.

Deputy General Manager (engineering) of Sathosa - Kumarawadu Ariyawansa was caught red handed by the Chairman when he had attempted to sell off old iron at a very low price as well as several iron racks that could be still used.

The chairman had caught the act when the stock of iron, valued at nearly Rs. 500,000 were loaded to a truck to be sold for just 100,000.

The Chairman had returned the stock of iron back to the Sathosa stores.

However, no legal action was taken against the culprit, reports add. come under the criticism of Sathosa workers for not taking legal action against an iron 'theft' that had nearly happened right under his nose, reports say.
