‘No party decision to give nominations to Mahinda’ Featured

The SLFP has taken no decision to give nominations to former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, said ex-president Chandrika Kumaratunga.

During a visit to Puttalam yesterday (04), she told journalists that the party was yet to take a decision regarding that, or they be informed about any decision.

She declined to answer a question regarding reports that Rajapaksa would contest from Kurunegala on the UPFA ticket, BBC Sandeshaya reports.

Meanwhile, UPFA general secretary Susil Premajayantha says Kumaratunga has no right whatsoever to speak about their alliance.
