He is seen doing this for a TV commercial of the 'Sathhanda' newspaper which will be launched to the market today.

It is said that this is the first time Mervyn SIlva had appeared on a TV commercial for a newspaper.

Published by Sathhanda Publishers, the newspaper would be a weekend publication with mainstream political activist - Deepthi Kumara Gunaratne as its chief editor.

Prabhath Weeraratne is the deputy editor of the newspaper which will feature Subash Jayawardana as the news editor and Wimal Ketapearachchi as feature editor.

Shantha Bandara Jayawardena will edit the 'Kedella' supplement while Sanjaka Prasad Dolawatta will be in charge of the Youth Magazine supplement - 'Like'.
