The Board will inform party leaders if any candidate or family member is found to have links to ethanol, drug, betting or casino businesses.

Its chairman Dr. Nilanga Samarasinghe said arrangements have been made to investigate the candidates from 160 electoral divisions island wide.

As per an agreement signed with PAFFREL, all party leaders should obtain a certificate from the Board that none of their candidates is connected to any such wrongdoing.
