It has been revealed that the Securities and Exchange Commission has given Rs. 10 million towards the promotion of the image of MP Namal Rajapaksa, son of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

MP Ashok Abeysinghe made the revelation at a media briefing yesterday (26).

Of this amount, Rs. 05 million had been given to Tharunyata Hetak organization, headed by Namal Rajapaksa, while the balance had been given at the request of the organization to Ceylon Primer Sports.

Abeysinghe said a complaint had been lodged with the FCID regarding this misuse of SEC money.
