Hearing public testimonies on mass-scale financial discrepancies and misuse of power within five powerful state institutions will commence soon, a special Presidential commission appointed for the task says.

Speaking, Secretary of the commission of Inquiry - Lasil De Silva said a venue at the BMICH, Colombo would be transformed to the likes of an 'open court' for the purpose.

The testimonies would be made before High Court Judges Padman Surasena, Amendra Seneviratne, Vikum Kaluarachchi, Gihan Kulatunga,former Auditor General B.A. Premathilake, ASP Lalith Abeysekara and commission secretary Lasil De Silva.

At the present, the commission has received around 800 public complaints.
