15 containers released
As the gazette was delayed, Sri Lanka Customs recently released 15 containers of chemicals containing glyphosate, which was imported by a leading business conglomerate in the country, co convener of the ‘National Movement against Poisons - Chinthaka Rajapaksa says.
However, following the the President's verbal directive, Customs took measures to turn back 02 containers of chemicals containing glyphosate which were imported from China on May 04, 2015.
