Technical officers attached to Sri Lanka Railways engaged in a protest in front of Colombo Fort railway station today (12) demanding a salary hike according to the new circular.
They have marched to the Ministry of Internal Transport and the negotiations with the Ministry authorities have reportedly failed.
 
Accordingly, they have stated that though they will report to duty tomorrow they will not carry out their duties.
