In an interview with Hada Gesma supplement of Mawbima, he has said that the TV programme, which gossips about artistes, is the first of its kind and that it was an idea by them.

However, Kelum Palitha Mahiratne, whose concept is ‘Hathdinnath Tharu’ says in his facebook page that the programme is based on an idea of his, and none other’s.

Kelum is concerned that no mention had been made about him in the newspaper interview.

Speaking to Sri Lanka Mirror, several artistes said journalists should make a detailed study of the subject before making interviews, to avoid such embarrassments.
