UAE Embassy in Colombo distributes dates in Sri Lanka

Abdul Hamid Abdul Fattah Kazim Al Mulla, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Sri Lanka, has overseen the delivery of dates provided by the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, to the Sri Lankan Ministry of Muslim Religious Affairs, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Every Ramadan, the ERC, with the assistance of the UAE Embassy, provides local authorities with dates for distribution in mosques, orphanages and schools in different parts of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan Minister of Muslim Religious Affairs expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE government and its people for their assistance of Sri Lankans, particularly the ERC, which regularly provides the country with aid in other areas including health and housing.

The minister also praised the UAE's humanitarian approach in supporting friendly countries under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
