Advisor of the Jaffna Press Club - Ratnam Thayaparan says that they have sent the letter as although the President pledged to reopen investigations pertaining to journalist killings, he had made no special mention of journalists who were killed or went missing in the Northern region.
The Jaffna Press Club has urged President Maithripala Sirisena to ensure that investigations are also held on journalists who were killed or had gone missing in the Northern province.
