The bus had swerved off the road and toppled after one of its tyres has burst.

The accident has taken place near the Old Murukandi area, Kokavil, Kilinochchi.

Reports say that 21 persons injured have been admitted to the Kilinochchi Base Hospital and several are in critical condition.
