He said so to Sri Lanka Mirror in connection with the report which says he will be the editor of the new daily and Sunday Sinhala newspapers.

 

Dassanayake said it was normal for editors to get invitations to join new newspapers, but that he has no intention still of joining a newspaper by ABC Media Network.

He also refuted a report that Nisthar Cassim, editor of Daily FT, is to be the new daily and Sunday newspapers.

Attempts to contact Saranga Wijeratne, marketing manager of Ceylon Newspapers, publisher of Mawbima and Ceylon Today, to ask him about a report that he is going to join ABC Media Network, failed.
