Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', Rajapaksa said that he has been formally informed to appear before the FCID on May 11 to be questioned on the MiG deal and the selling of shares at Lanka Hospitals.
Noting that certain persons in the government are raising false claims against him in order to take revenge on him, Rajapaksa said that he had never allowed anything illegal to take place during his tenure as a secretary.
Former ministers Basil Rajapaksa and Johnston Fernando as well as three former officials of the Economic Development ministry were recently arrested after being interrogated by the FCID.
They are currently in remand custody.
