He had been on his way from the Colombo bishop’s residence to Hotel Taj Samudra, where he was to meet with visiting US secretary of state John Kerry when he suddenly fell ill, said TNA MP Selvam Adaikkalanathan.

Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed relevant authorities to provide all facilities to treat the bishop, BBC Sandeshaya reports.
