The opposition demands president Maithripala Sirisena dissolves parliament immediately.

At a media briefing at the parliamentary complex, MEP leader, MP Dinesh Gunawardena said there was doubt as to whether the clauses placed before the country as in the 19th amendment to the constitution were actually there.

SLFP spokesman, minister Dilan Perera said however, his party was of the stance the president has been able to set foot on the correct path within 100 days.

The government says 45 per cent of the promises it has given have now been fulfilled.

Fifty one pc of the promises are nearing completion, while more time is needed to fulfill the rest, says a government brief on the 100 day programme.
