In his resignation letter, Jayasekara says he decided to resign due to a personal reason.

He thanks and recalls with gratitude the support he received from the organization’s officials and members as well as his media colleagues.

Jayasekara says he will continue to support all activities of FMM for the furtherance of a free media.
