MR and Gota to be questioned

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa have been asked to report to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this week to record statements over various allegations against them.

Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has reportedly been asked to report to the Commission on Wednesday, April 22 and 23 while the former President has been asked to report on Friday, April 24.

Former President Rajapaksa told the media that he has been summoned for questioning over the appointment of former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake as a Cabinet minister in his government.
